(This is more of an example post, although you can write however you want.)
This was a series that gave me that extra boost I needed in the online world, before I had established the name "Mechamind".
If you've played Snake based games, you should understand the basics of Armagetron right away.
From my experience, it was definitely nostalgic. It includes a customizable scoring system where you win points based on success, or you can (but don't always) lose points based on failure. I remember how I was able to customize the colors of the vehicle and "light cycle" trail, though oddly I had never used a red cycle despite my occasional obsession with that color. I also liked how you can customize the number of directions that the player can rotate, as well as shooting and other flag elements (such as the Death Zone/Win Zone).
I've always wondered about the (blockade) Snake purist. The idea is that normally when you play Snake games, you're supposed to die instantly if you hit a wall. Armagetron's "rubber" gives you a bit more room for error, and I've seen it exploited several times. I've actually had a few opponents zip between me and someone else's trail even though I was blocking the way, so realistically, I should have trapped that opponent. I never learned how to do it myself.
The thing I (and many others) did not like was the campers, finding clever means just to remain safe. I won't get into any more detail about those.
But overall, I think it's a great game. I would often stick to the last man standing modes, though everyone has their preferences. Feel free to express your opinions on Armagetron in this thread.
